Character's history since the end of HBP till now: Tonks continued her work for the Ministry and the Order, her relationship with Remus progressed slowly and she assumed that they would eventually get married after the war. However, when they were both defending Hogwarts against the Death Eater's attack, Remus was killed. Since this happened, Tonks has withdrawn into herself, becoming almost reclusive save to go to work.
